📝Sheikh Abu Muhammed al Maqdisi:
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was asked as to which words were the best. He ﷺ said:
"Those which Allāh chose for His angels and for His servants, (and the words are) Subḥān Allāh wa bī ḥamdihī (which means "Glory be to Allāh and Praise be to Him")."
These words were chosen by Allāh and considered to be the best of words because they represent the meanings of #Tawheed and what it contains such as:
#Negation and exaltation (which means to reject partners and defects for Him) in the words "Subḥān Allāh" - (which means glory be to Allah who is far above from having any partner or defect), and
#Affirmation and praise in the words "Wa bī ḥamdihī" - which means praise belongs to Him alone (and this affirmation attests to His divinity and soleness in all perfection).
And they both are the pillars of Lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh (which means none deserves obedience and worship except Allah.)
So, when you repeat the words Subḥān Allāh wa bī ḥamdihī, it is as though you are uttering and repeating the word of #Tawheed!
