AS Roma have appointed Claudio Ranieri as their new head coach until the end of the season. 🐺
The 73-year-old has come out of retirement to manage Roma for a third time.
The Italian, who announced his retirement from football in May after a spell at Cagliari, succeeds Ivan Juric following his sacking on Sunday.
At the end of the season, Ranieri will transition into a senior executive role at Roma, where he will advise the ownership on all sporting matters at the club.
The
Serie A side also confirmed they are searching for a long-term managerial appointment, with Ranieri having input on the decision.
