About FLEX program

The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program is a United States Department of State-sponsored program for secondary school students.
The program provides merit-based scholarships for students to travel to the United States, live with a host family, and attend a U.S. high school for a full academic year.

Who Can Participate?

High School Student

Eligibility

Students must meet all of the following criteria in order to be eligible for this program in fall 2020:

1. Be a citizen of the Uzbekistan Republic;
2. Be born between 15 February 2002 and 31 March 2004;
3. Be studying in grade 11 of school, or the 2nd year of lyceum;
4. Have grades of good or better;
5. Be able to speak English well;
6. Have not lived in the U.S. for 3 or more months in the last five years.

Scholarship Deadline Extended!

The deadline for U.S.-CAEF scholarship has been extended to February 17, 2020. (Previous application deadline was January 13, 2020.)

The Program provides financial need-based scholarships to academically qualified students of Uzbekistan for undergraduate level studies in business administration, economics, applied mathematics, informatics, and software engineering in the context of entrepreneurship and economic development at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic.

American Councils for International Education is pleased to announce that the English Speaking Nation: Secondary Teacher Training (ESN) program officially launched on November 1, 2019. The ESN program seeks to strengthen the English language and pedagogical skills of secondary school teachers with the ultimate goal of increasing student engagement in English language and culture in Uzbekistan.

FEP (Faculty Enrichment Program) for University Instructors

FEP offers university instructors from Uzbekistan the opportunity to enhance their pedagogical skills and professional disciplinary expertise through a four-month U.S. academic enrichment program. Eligible fields from which faculty may apply include: STEM (Engineering, Energy and Renewable Energy, Health Care, Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, and Sciences [Biology, Biotechnology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, etc.]); Business (E-Commerce, Business Analytics, Quantitative Modeling and Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Accounting); Social Sciences (Economics, Political Science/International Relations, Education, Psychology, Anthropology, etc.); and the Humanities (Languages, Area Studies, History, Theology).
