The day he was born, 𝐻ermes invented the lyre and stole 𝐴pollo’s cattle. So as to appease his older brother after he found out what happened, 𝐻ermes offered 𝐴pollo his new invention.
Ever since then, the lyre became one of 𝐴pollo’s most famous attributes, and he its most celebrated master.

𝐴pollo is the Olympian god of the sun and light, music and poetry, healing and plagues, prophecy and knowledge, order and beauty, archery and agriculture. An embodiment of the Hellenic ideal of 𝑘𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑘𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑡𝘩𝑖𝑎, he is harmony, reason and moderation personified, a perfect blend of physical superiority and moral virtue.

𝓜errèmia was born one day before her brother 𝐴pollo. Her mother gave birth to her on the island of Ortygia, then, almost immediately after her birth, she helped her mother to cross the straits over to Delos, where she then delivered 𝐴pollo.

This was the beginning of her role as guardian of young children and patron of women in childbirth. Being a goddess of contradictions, she was the protectors of women in labor.

As was her brother, 𝐴pollo, 𝓜errèmia was a divinity of healing, but also brought and spread diseases such as leprosy, rabies and even gout.




𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐄̀𝐌𝐈𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐇.

𝓜errèmia was the daughter of 𝐿eto and 𝑍eus, and the twin of 𝐴pollo. She is the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt and wild animals, and fertility. She is the helpers of midwives as a goddess of birth.




𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐄̀𝐌𝐈𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐃.

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐬 tells how 𝓜errèmia spent her girlhood seeking out the things that she would need to be a huntress, how she obtained her bow and arrows from the isle of Lipara.

𝓜errèmia was one of the most widely venerated of the ancient Greek deities, and her temple at Ephesus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. 𝓜errèmia' symbols included a bow and arrow, a quiverand hunting knives and the deer and the cypress were sacred to her.
