How is Perennialist thought represented in modern-day American academia? Why do Perennialists tend to prefer an alternative approach to interfaith dialogue?"
An important disclaimer: the Perennial school holds that, while all religions ultimately derive from the same source, one should not only pick one tradition and follow it to the letter, but one needs to pick a currently living and unbroken tradition, and it is on this point in particular that we disagree with orthodox Traditionalism.
Our ultimate goal with this channel and in general is the
rebirth of the European perennial traditions, and the preservation of non-European native traditions across the world.
While there indeed are different expressions of the Sophia Perennis, the Eternal Wisdom,
to say that all are equally true is foolish, and
even if they were all equally true, particular expressions of this truth are a better fit for particular peoples. Therefore, it is imperative that unique manifestations of Sophia Perennis are protected or recovered from the devouring and flawed Abrahamic manifestations,
which aspire to destroy all other traditions.
