Even the 2009 version "Position of the American Dietetic Association: Vegetarian Diets" by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics was much better. Lysine topic has been completed ignored in the new one. Plus is not just about Lysine ... there are other things, that is not goal of this post now.
"Protein from a variety of plant foods, eaten during the course of a day, supplies enough of all indispensable (essential) amino acids when caloric requirements are met" without saying how, why, etc...
They just cite "Plant proteins in relation to human protein and amino acid nutrition" (we now exclude athletes, bodybuilders, since they consume protein shakes etc. so for sure there is no problem of intake, if they are true athletes ...).
If we check such paper they just talk about ""Thus, we conclude that consumers do not need to be at al concerned about amino acis imbalances ..." (which we will not comment now), there is no informations at all about intake ... and what they write is based on USA survey where 30% was plant based ...
Still interesting the fact that total protein was HUGE different from country to country, from 52 g to 110 g, which is showing again that not because a study in USA is saying ø is ... maybe just for adult female, means that this is valid for all people in all countries!
PS: source 12 (a book ...) is again what we commented
