🚨 Attention: Scammers! 🚨
On November 20, 2024, emails claiming to be from the Belarusian Red Cross were sent to OAO "Slavyanka" and OAO "Krasny Pishchevik" (Bobruisk). The emails offered humanitarian aid, including medications, drinking water, food, hygiene products, and generators, stating it was in response to a potential threat of mass drone attacks in Belarus. The management was urged to apply for this aid or decline it by responding to the provided email address.
This is clearly a fraud. The Belarusian Red Cross
pointed out numerous mistakes in the document's formatting. It is not on official letterhead, the seal is incorrect, and there's a lack of information about the sender, which is a serious breach of business communication. The email mentioned in the letter is fake, allegedly registered in the ".ru" domain. The Belarusian Red Cross has its own email server: info@redcross.by.
The head of the Belarusian Red Cross, Dmitry Shevtsov, confirmed to "People's Anti-Fake" that this "official letter" from the Red Cross is counterfeit.
The actions of the scammers indicate an attempt to collect information about operational procedures and available resources in case of emergencies, as well as to incite panic ("in connection with the possible threat of mass attacks") among the public.
