I want your smile to spread over me like whiskey warmth. I want to hold you close like it's the only real solution to my hangover.

I want you. That's it. No more metaphors. or similes. I want you. And i can't tell if you want me too, but that's not going to stop me from making you smile every chance I get. It's not going to stop me from showing you what life together could be like. It's not going to stop me from holding a hand out to pick you up everytime you scrape your knee on the bloodsuckers that surround us.

I'll bring you close and look into your confused eyes as you ask me, "This feeling... what is it?" because baby, that's what love is supposed to feel like. I'm sorry you've never known it, but now you'll never forget it.

We could say that love is a tenacious adventure. The adventurous side is necessary, but equally so is the need for tenacity. To give up at the first hurdle, the first quarrel, is only to distort love. Real love is one that triumphs lastingly, sometimes painfully, over the hurdles erected by time, space and the world.
