You know what I want you to know? That it’s ok to feel this way. It’s ok to have these doubts, these insecurities— it’s ok to feel unsure or not ready. Darling, it’s ok to feel like that piece of your life doesn’t fit— or hell, that you’re not even sure *you* fit in your life sometimes. It’s ok, darling— all of it. To feel sad or stressed or— off. Maybe you know why you feel the way you do and you’re not ready to face it. Or hell, maybe you have no idea why you feel the way you do— and you need to figure it out. This life is not easy. But you know that. What I know is we do really well at curating the life we want other people to see. But real life? Real life is messy. And we get all those cliches you read about. Tests first and then lessons. A whole bunch of frogs before the right one hops in. We get questions with no answers and answers that don’t make sense until years down the road. You’ve heard all of them. So here’s the thing. It’s not really that important to have it all together all the time. But what’s really important— the most important— is that you don’t let yourself live in that space too long. As chaotic and hurtful and confusing as it all can be sometimes, the one thing this life is really, really, good at is giving us second chances. Make sure you use them. Feel how you feel— take it all in. Feel sad if you want to. But tomorrow, I want you pick yourself up and walk yourself into a new day with a fresh heart. That’s your job.

We don’t live in bungalows, duplexes or flats. We live in our minds.

Yes, that’s our permanent residence. And there are no constraints of square-feet there. It’s a vast space with unlimited area.

And you know what! No matter how well-organized your rooms, balconies, garages and verandas are, life is good only when things are sorted there – in your mind.

And that’s where we keep things messy – regrets piling up in one corner, expectations stuffed in a closet, secrets under the carpet, worries littered everywhere, comparisons spilt on the table, complexes leaking from an old bottle, and grudges stinking in a box.
