But nothing makes a room feel emptier than wanting someone in it.

Euphoria of the blinded symphony accompenied warmth of sun flashes. Rumours are his strength and transparity fulfilled with wisdom, Your Honorable Leader of Nana Fushigi; @Amaanne.

From the spin-off series, Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun (放課後少年花子くん), there is a scene where Hanako-kun turns into a girl after defeating a strange device.[3] His hair becomes slightly longer than his normal hairstyle in addition to some feminine traits. While waiting for the curse to wear off after a day, Nene and Hanako decide to venture into doing girly activities. Hanako dresses up like the popular rumor of the Toilet-Bound Girl, Hanako-san by wearing a red skirt, to which Nene becomes envious of his slender legs. The two of them also style their hair into pulled-back buns with hairpin accessories.

"No.7 of the seven mysteriesー Hanako-san of the toilet. In the third stall from the end of the girl's bathroom on the third floor of the old building... ...You'll find Hanako-san. She will grant one wish to anyone who summons her spirit. But in exchange, that person will have to give up something precious. To summon the ghost, you knock three times... And thenー "Hanako-san Hanako-san." "Are you there?""

Hanako-san or Hanako-san of the Toilet is a well known Japanese urban legend about a spirit of a young girl who haunts the girl's bathroom. The usual rumor about Hanako-san is that calling her name would cause her to appear and reply back. Some say that Hanako-san would grant a favour for the person who called out for her at a price.

However in Kamome Gakuen, Hanako-san, unlike the well-known version of the story, is a young boy instead of a young girl. Other than his gender, everything that the Kamome Gakuen's 7 mystery rumors say are true.

Hanako's rumor was told first, and is said to be the most famous one out of all seven. Although the Yen Press translation describes Hanako-san as a 'her', the Japanese version does not say anything about the ghost being a girl. The assumption of Hanako-san being a girl comes from the fact that he haunts the girl's toilet.

The aspect the Seventh School Mystery oversees in Kamome Academy is currently unknown.

The sixth mystery representative’s true identity is Shinigami-sama. It is the final mystery revealed out of Kamome Gakuen's Seven Mysteries.

The rumor begins with an event called “Tsukimachi” where children gather together weaving baskets all night until sunrise.

The children have to stay awake the whole night or their souls will attract The God of Death.

The aspect the Sixth School Mystery oversees in Kamome Academy is currently unknown.

He appears to have a human-like form after removing his mask, with a dark skin tone, short hair, and horns still protruding on either sides of his head.

"School mystery number 5ー The 4PM bookstacks. In this school's library... ...There's a special storeroom you can only enter at 4pm. The room is full of books with people's names. Each of these books contains a record of that person's life at this school. What they did here, what they're going to do here. Past, present and futureー it's all written in the book...! But... If you do go to the 4PM bookstacks... ...You have to be careful. There are three kinds of books in the bookstacksー white, black, and red. The white ones have records of people who are alive. The black ones are records of people who have died. and those two kinds are okay... ...But the red books...! Those are the ones you should never ever read."

The 4PM Bookstacks is the fifth of the Seven Mysteries. It is the third school mystery to be introduced in the series, making its debut in Volume 3.

The bookstacks have records of every student in Kamome Gakuen, from the past and even in the future. It is said that white books are for living people, and the black ones are for the deceased.

Upon entering the bookstacks, none of the rumored 'red books' can be found. But in the books, the future is marked with a red page. Nene was led by a butterfly to find her own book and read a bit of her future. After reading her future, the book turned red. A large figure that resembled her appears and stuck up to attack her.

The Fifth School Mystery oversees the "Records" aspect of Kamome Academy.
