Fleas ,and some other unwanted guests. I posted this in reply to a question. So I thought others might have more knowledge and it may be of interest to others. Repel fleas from your yard with Diatomaceous earth or boric acid; can also be used in the home and yard tYveso treat large areas against fleas. Sprinkle liberally on carpets and vacuum up and sprinkle in the yard to control fleas.
Lemon, Apple Cider Vinegar. Dish Soap. Lavender 🌿and Chamomile🌿 works quite well on cats🐆 and dogs 🐕as a wash and naturally other animals . Besides flea bites causing pain, redness, and itching, it can cause more serious health problems like tapeworms and anemia.
Using Boric acid or Diatomaceous earth probably doesn’t sound like much of a home remedy, however you can catch up to 97% of adult fleas with your vacuum and off course the eggs , these can stay dormant for 6 months or more.
 here is a mix you can try; 50 ml apple cider vinegar, 100 ml lemon juice, and 100 ml witch hazel. Mix the 3 ingredients to make the solution and place in to a spray bottle. You can then spray it around your home once a day, where you notice the most fleas, especially carpets, and under furniture where they can hide. Spray once a day for the best results.
During an active flea attack, just plain mild soapy water to wash your dog, or cat this will kill fleas instantly. Use a natural shampoo like citrus Castile soap each week followed by a final rinse with light solution of ACV. For this rinse, use 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water. Cats are a little less flexible and less forgiving than dogs and dont tolerate many herbs and baths.
