Just something to bare in mind when looking at posts just now about the "imminent capitulation of Gaza"

The "city centre" is located just a few hundred metres away from the coast, nowhere close to the built-up areas of the city

Unless the Israelis managed to send a large thrust right into the heart of the main city itself, this "capture" of the parliament building likely serves as a symbolic/psychological act against not necessarily Hamas themselves, but the Palestinian population of Gaza

It can always be that I'm immensely retarded and don't understand the uber-duper IDF 5D strategy they employed to take the city, but I don't see that myself personally.

I’ll be taking a look at the defensive situation in Avdeevka since the Russians are now meters away from entering the city at multiple locations.

Firstly the red areas are the most defensible due to location, type of structures and accessibility to supply.

A: Coke plant (large industrial plant perfect for defense)

B: 9th district (comparable to the citadel in bakhmut, high rise apartments act as high ground for defense)

C: longest standing defense fortifications in Avdeevka and the frontline between the city and Donetsk. (Russians already fighting and clearing fortifications here)

Secondly we have the yellow, this is just housing and is not fantastic for defense.

Blue: main supply route into the city.

Avdeevka is nowhere near as defensible as Bakhmut and about a third of the size, while also lacking the a Chasov Yar fortress city in the rear which was vital for maintaining logistics as Russia enveloped the city.

Good news is there’s another MiG statue for the AFU to destroy.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Ukrainian soldiers who tried to land on the left bank of the Dnieper were captured by Russia soldiers. They recorded an appeal to those who still remain in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ukrainian (first video) and Russian (second video).

Servicemen of the 1st and 2nd companies of the 501st battalion of the 36th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces called on their compatriots to lay down their arms, go home and not die in vain. They also noted that the Russian military treats them with dignity.
