Much anticipated Christian Conscience Conference was held this weekend by our New England brothers. There were a few speakers and many eager attendees. The private event was a major success and will be the first of many, so make sure to stay tuned! the utmost perfection of love cannot go beyond the love of enemies, therefore as soon as the Lord has bid us love our enemies, He proceeds, "Be ye then perfect, as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." He indeed is perfect, as being omnipotent; man, as being aided by the Omnipotent.

faith is likened to a light, because by it the goings of the inner man, that is, action, are lightened, that he should not stumble according to that, "Thy word is a light to my feet." [Ps 119:105] If that then be pure and single, the whole body is [p. 247] light; but if defiled, the whole body will be dark.

Looking around at the news and headlines, it is easy to start to live a life of fear. Fear of the next crime or climate disaster. Fear of the elites or fear of the mobs. Of the economy or the next war. Certainly there seems like there is a lot to be afraid of. However, we cannot let this rule our lives. They want you to be afraid because that is how you are easiest to control. There is no worse way to live than in constant fear. When we look around in our day to day, a lot of those things probably disappear. We can acknowledge that they are real and happening without being consumed. With that knowledge we can inform ourselves and community how to evolve. But we can not get stuck in that rut of fear! As we know, Jesus said “do not be afraid”. Being afraid leads to anxiety and angst and existential stress. In Wisconsin we are overcoming fears. Fear of organizing, fear of leading, fear being labeled an extremist, fear of being judged. We have no fear and no doubt of who wins in the end. The more people get involved with our organization, they realize there is a lot less to fear and a lot more to look forward to. A little fear is ok for motivation and acting with urgency. For some people fear can be what is needed to “wake up”. However, it remains one of the biggest problems for people like us because of its paralyzing and exhausting effect. For those around Wisconsin or not, we say- get over it! Get over your fear. Instead of wallowing in that feeling, do something productive about it. #reflection
