🇷🇺⚔🇺🇦 100 Russian Troops Launch Surprise Attack on Ukrainian Rear in Sudzha via Gas Pipeline Route

Following Kyiv’s decision to halt gas supplies to the EU, a group of 100 Russian soldiers reportedly infiltrated Ukrainian lines in Sudzha by secretly moving through an underground gas pipeline.

▪️ Russian assault units had been preparing for days, using guided bombs (FAB with UPMK) to clear the area from which they would emerge.
▪️ Ukrainian forces were reportedly unable to destroy the pipeline due to logistical constraints, according to Kyiv-based media.
▪️ The operation involved the Urengoy–Pomary–Uzhgorod pipeline, which had transported Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine until January 1, 2025.
▪️ Each pipeline has a diameter of 1.4 meters, allowing for covert movement.

Our troops entered Sudzha

It's still very hot. More details later. Our heroes from the Veterans ODShBR, 30th MRR, 11th Airborne Assault Brigade, Akhmat SpN, and Vostok DRShBR are pressing from different directions on the approaches to the city, reports Channel One military correspondent Dmitry Kulko.

There are also successes in the Martynovka area, our troops entered Cherkasskoye Porechnoye. Marines of the 155th Brigade are powerfully breaking through the enemy's defenses from the northwest in the Nikolskoye area.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are partially pulling back from nearby settlements, trying to strengthen their garrison in Sudzha. In several areas, the enemy ran and was hit hard in the back. In some places, they dug in and every meter is hard for the assault.

The Russian Armed Forces are blocking any attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to bring up reserves from the Sumy region by shooting at equipment on the Yunakova-Sudzha highway.

We are awaiting official confirmation of this information.

"Kursk Direction as of 12:00, 08.03.25: Assault on Sudzha
Details remain scarce for now, but since our sources have already started sharing information, I’ll add my thoughts—without compromising operations.
The enemy has been stunned by today’s concentrated offensive from multiple directions, with some units already retreating or even surrendering. However, fierce fighting continues for Sudzha. Some reports claim the city has already been "liberated," but that is inaccurate.
Our forces have entered Sudzha from several sides, but the enemy is putting up a desperate defense, fully aware that in the heat of an assault, prisoners are rarely taken—especially in this case.
The battle is intense, leaving the enemy with no chance. Will Sudzha be fully secured today? Unlikely. But breaking the city's resistance seems entirely possible.
The enemy is reeling from the assault—there’s no doubt about that. Even on our side, few expected them to collapse so quickly after their previous determined defense of these positions.

In the Toretsk area, both Russian and Ukrainian forces are attacking and making progress.

In Toretsk itself, Russian forces captured a Ukrainian strongpoint in a private residential sector. They also recaptured previously lost positions in a high-rise building on the edge of the city centre.

Ukrainian forces on the other-hand advanced deeper into the northern residential area, and took up new positions in the houses there, at some point over the past week

Meanwhile in Shcherbynivka, Azov continues their assault operations, and as a result of intensified attacks, Russian forces largely withdrew from the main part of the village. Azov was able to recapture some previously lost positions along the eastern bank of the Kryvyi Torets River, and also made progress in the residential part of the village, seizing a series of positions there too.

The capture of those positions in the eastern part of Shcherbynivka will make Ukrainian logistics into the southern Zabalka district of Toretsk a little easier.
