The Maduro dictatorship issued an arrest warrant against Javier Milei, Karina Milei and Patricia Bullrich

The Nicolรกs Maduro dictatorship issued an arrest warrant against the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, his sister, Karina Milei, general secretary of the presidency, and the minister of security, Patricia Bullrich.
This was announced by the Chavista prosecutor Tarek William Saab.

"This public ministry of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela announces the assignment of two specialized prosecutors in the matter, who are carrying out the pertinent proceedings of the case, and are processing the arrest warrants against the following citizens, based on the above: one, Javier Milei, president of the Argentine Republic; Karina Milei, general secretary of the Presidency of the Argentine nation; and Patricia Bullrich, minister of security of the Argentine nation," Saab told Venezuelan media.

They forgot to include Villarruel, trust the plan patriots.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโŒ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ’ฅโš–๏ธ โ€” Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro took advantage of the error that led to the return of the social network ๐• in the country to criticize the decision of Supreme Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes to block the platform and praised the disobedience shown by some users: "Giving up is not an option, and it is you who fuel a prosperous future for our country."

๐Ÿ’ฌ See the full tweet below:

"- I congratulate everyone for the pressure that keeps the wheels turning in defense of democracy in Brazil. Giving up is not an option, and it is you who fuel a prosperous future for our country.

- In recent days, Brazilians have witnessed events that have shed even more light on the serious setbacks to freedom in Brazil.

- X was banned for questioning court decisions that not only required the removal of specific posts but also the permanent deletion of profiles. This is prior censorship, a practice prohibited by the Constitution and a serious violation of fundamental rights.

- Worse: by banning the country's largest social network, it was not a company that was punished but millions of Brazilians, deprived of free access to information and the right to express themselves.

- Shortly before, the same justice censored *Folha de S.Paulo*, preventing it from publishing an interview with Filipe Martins, an innocent man imprisoned for more than six months without trial under the allegation of having taken a trip that never happened.

- The same justice turned a trivial discussion about an airport line into an "attack on democracy," making a law-abiding family part of an investigation without any legal justification.

- Starlink was also arbitrarily punished, becoming a collateral victim in a legal dispute of which it was not a part. This undermines legal security and investor confidence. Brazil should be a safe harbor for investment and innovation, but it drives away investors and rejects innovative companies.

- All this unfolds as revelations from Glenn Greenwald, published in *Folha de S.Paulo*, show that these inquiries ignore due legal process, with pre-selection of targets based on their political opinions rather than their actions.

- When justice acts selectively, we are all at risk. When prior censorship is normalized, we lose our freedom. When freedom of expression and the press are threatened, Democracy cries out for help.

- God, Homeland, Family, and Freedom."

๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ชโšก๏ธโŒ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ช โ€” The opposition leader in Venezuela, recognized as the country's president by the Spanish Parliament, Edmundo Gonzรกlez, issued a statement following false reports circulating on social media and various misinformation channels, as well as pressure from high-ranking officials of the chavista regime after the presidential elections on July 28: "Millions of Venezuelans want change, and I will fulfill that mandate"

"While at the residence of the Spanish ambassador (in Caracas), the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodrรญguez, and the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodrรญguez, presented me with a document that I would need to sign to allow my departure from the country. In other words, I had to sign or face the consequences.

[...] There were very tense hours of coercion, blackmail, and pressure. At those moments, I considered that I could be more useful free than locked up and unable to carry out the tasks entrusted to me by the sovereign.

A document produced under coercion is absolutely null and void due to a serious flaw in consent. What should be disseminated are the counting records. The truth is what it is and it is in the records you are trying to hide."

โš ๏ธ He also reaffirms that he was elected president and that everyone saw the evidence of this:

"As the elected President of millions and millions of Venezuelans who voted for change, democracy, and peace, they will not silence me. I will never betray them. This is known by every single person I have spoken to until now. They will not silence a country that has already spoken. Millions of Venezuelans want change, and I will fulfill that mandate."

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโŒ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง โ€” The Brazilian government issued a statement condemning the explosion of pagers belonging to members of Hezbollah in Lebanon

"The Brazilian government condemns the series of coordinated and simultaneous explosions of hundreds of electronic communication devices that occurred today, the 17th, in Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of at least nine people, including a minor, as well as hundreds of injuries.

Such acts lead to a significant escalation of tensions in the region and exacerbate the risk of the conflict spreading. They also demonstrate that, regrettably, the multiple appeals by the international community for actors in the Middle East to exercise maximum restraint have been ineffective.

In this context, Brazil reiterates the imperative nature of full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries and reaffirms its support for the strict implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The Brazilian Embassy in Beirut has no record of Brazilian nationals among the victims and is committed to providing the necessary guidance to the Brazilian community amid the delicate security situation in Lebanon."

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ“โŒ๐Ÿ‘คโŒ โ€” More than 50 progressive-left intellectuals from various countries around the world have signed an open letter condemning Elon Musk's efforts to advocate for freedom of expression in Brazil, which they describe as "attacks by Big Techs against the digital sovereignty" of the country

๐Ÿค Among the signatories are Brazilian intellectuals such as university professor (Federal University of Cearรก) and journalist Helena Martins, who was considered for the Lula administration's transition team in 2022, and sociologist Sergio Amadeu da Silveira, professor at the Federal University of ABC, who stated last week in an interview with Agรชncia Brasil that the country suffers from "digital colonialism" by U.S. technology companies.

๐ŸŒ Foreign researchers who signed the document include Argentine "feminist" professor Margarita Olivera from the Institute of Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and French economist Gabriel Zucman, referred to as the "guru" of Finance Minister Fernando Haddad due to his studies on taxing the super-rich.

โ‰๏ธ The leftist intellectuals claim that the recent legal dispute with Elon Musk is part of a broader plan by Big Techs to "restrict the ability of sovereign nations to set a digital development agenda free from the control of megacorporations based in the United States."

๐Ÿคก They also supported the Lula administration's intention to regulate social networks. Among the goals highlighted by the government is to force Big Techs to pay higher taxes, which the signatories called "fair."

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ The document also urges the UN to develop a transnational regulatory plan for access to and use of digital services.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโŒโ‰๏ธโš–๏ธ๐Ÿšซ โ€” In another chapter involving freedom of expression in Brazil, some netizens are claiming that the social network ๐• changed the IP addresses of its servers, switching from its own IP (TWITTER-NETWORK, 104.244.40.0/21) to CloudFlare (162.158.0.0/15), using CloudFlare's reverse proxy.

๐Ÿ’ฅ In theory, and to make it more difficult for those who will have to work to block the social network permanently, blocking CloudFlare would mean blocking most Brazilian websites that rely on the service, including banks and government sites.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโš–๏ธโ‰๏ธโŒ โ€” The Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) have issued statements regarding failures in the blockade of the social media platform ๐• in Brazil

โŒ According to Anatel, there has been no change in the decision by Minister Alexandre de Moraes (STF), who suspended the platform on August 30. The agency is investigating the reported cases.

๐Ÿ–ฅ The STF stated that the access was due to some "instability in the platform's blockade." The Court also mentioned that it is still verifying information about posts made by some users but did not comment on the application of fines.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโŒโ‰๏ธโš–๏ธ๐Ÿšซ โ€” Some netizens on the social media platform ๐• (formerly Twitter) in Brazil reported having access to their accounts, despite the Supreme Federal Court's (STF) decision to suspend the platform in the country for non-compliance with judicial rulings.

โ—๏ธA Supreme Court source told Reuters, however, that the social media blockade remains in effect and that the STF is investigating reports of user access to ๐•.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œApparently, itโ€™s just an instability in the blockade of some networks,โ€ the source said. ๐• did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

โš ๏ธ The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), responsible for ordering operators to enforce the decision to suspend ๐•, has also not responded so far. However, officials suspect that the social media platform may be using methods to circumvent the ban in the country.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโŒ๐Ÿ—ณ๐Ÿ’ฐ โ€” The Brazilian Superior Electoral Court (TSE) unanimously approved a resolution, at the request of the Brazilian government, that bans betting on election results, known as "electoral bets." The announcement was made by the court's president, Cรกrmen Lรบcia, during a plenary session

๐Ÿ“ The text makes this practice illegalโ€”meaning those who engage in bets involving election outcomes will be committing an electoral crime that could constitute abuse of economic power and illicit vote acquisition. According to the resolution, the use of betting sites for selling, distributing goods, and conducting raffles related to candidates or election results is also prohibited.

๐Ÿ’ฌ According to Cรกrmen Lรบcia, the measure was taken to ensure that elections are a more "secure, transparent, and respectful" process for voters.

โ€œThe practice of lottery-type contests involving predictions of the 2024 election results with offers of financial or material advantages of any kind, which have the potential to interfere with the electoral process.โ€

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท The loophole in electoral law led betting houses to create options for the contest. The Ministry of Finance claims that this practice is illegal and that only two types of fixed-odds betting are permitted: those related to sports themes and virtual events involving online games.

๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ชโŒ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ โ€” The Chavista Parliament of Venezuela presented a draft agreement this Tuesday seeking to break diplomatic relations with Spain. The document, which was read during a session before the full Chavista Legislative body, stated:

"[...] to the national Executive to evaluate, in a timely manner, the breaking of diplomatic and commercial relations with the Kingdom of Spain, as a reciprocal action for the gross and interventionist proposal of the Madrid Congress against Venezuelan constitutionality.โ€

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโš–๏ธ โ€” Republican Congresswoman Marรญa Elvira Salazar, representing Florida, introduced a bill today in the U.S. Congress that could block the entry of foreign officials accused of violating the freedom of speech of American citizens

โš ๏ธ Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes is explicitly mentioned as a potential target of the measure.

โ€œBrazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes is the vanguard of an international assault on freedom of speech against American citizens like Elon Musk. Freedom of Speech is a natural and inalienable right which knows no borders. The enforcers of censorship are not welcome in the land of the free, the United States.

We are all aware of the abuse of power by the Supreme Court in Brazil that is targeting Elon Musk and blocking access to X, a privately held American company. But the free speech rights of Americans are also under attack all over the world, and in many nations that we might not expect, With the No Censors on Our Shores Act, foreign government officials will be put on notice: Deny our citizens their First Amendment rights, and this country will deny you entry to America or show you the door."

๐Ÿšซ The bill, titled the "No Censors on our Shores Act," proposes an amendment to the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act. If passed, the legislation would deem foreign officials, including Supreme Court justices, inadmissible or even subject to deportation if accused of violating Americans' First Amendment rights.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท Although Moraes is the only Brazilian Supreme Court justice named, the bill could potentially impact other members of the Brazilian judiciary if similar accusations arise.

๐Ÿ› If passed, the bill could have significant diplomatic implications for relations between Brazil and the United States, particularly regarding visits by Brazilian judicial authorities (who frequently travel to the U.S.), as well as law enforcement officials and political leaders, including the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
