Before You Build The Next App… Read This

We all know the feeling…
Starting a new app. Fresh idea. New UI. New logic. New excitement. It feels amazing.

But here’s something most developers don’t talk about enough 👇

Sometimes the best app you’ll ever build… is the one you already abandoned.

Think about it.

Months ago or even years ago you dropped projects because:
• You didn’t have the skills yet
• The tools were limited
• You ran out of resources
• Or you simply outgrew the idea at the time

Now fast forward to today…

Your skills are sharper.
Your problem-solving is faster.
Your tech stack is stronger.
Your vision is clearer.

That “old project” might not be dead. It might just be waiting for the new version of you.

Some of your best ideas were ahead of your ability not ahead of their time.

So before jumping into building another new app, take a moment and ask yourself:

👉 Which project did I abandon because I couldn’t finish it not because it was a bad idea?

Upgrade it.
Refactor it.
Add features you couldn’t build before.
Polish the UI with your new design taste.
Optimize it with your current knowledge.

Who knows…

That forgotten project might turn into your biggest success story.

Sometimes growth isn’t about starting over.
Sometimes it’s about going back and finishing what you started. 💡

Well back again to were we where (I should have listened to fireship advice 🥴)

I watched a YouTube video tutorial of how to build cursor clone (I will share the link for the video ) and its interesting so I tried to build it make it desktop app instead of web app unlike on the tutorial cuzz web app AI IDE is boring and I used electron cuzz it's what I know at least from ecosystem I came from but somebody suggest me to use rust well I don't know it so may be later on I will and the biggest problem is the LLM provider I mean im living within free trial how I can give free trial well I already added a feature to add their API or use ollama and run it on their local PC but the 1st problem is who would trust you to give you it's API 2nd ollama models that run locally are slow means boring so i implemented both choose which suit and there's a lot of a features to add to make it real clone but for now I think it's enough (maybe complete it later or list it under incompleted projects)

@WatcherGuru

For my first time I used GitHub action.
I thought I were using it damn 😂

Forward from: Coolio
the reason why you might be struggling to get things done, is prolly that damn phone btw.

the more overstimulated your brain is by things like social media or video games, the more your brain would hate doing tasks that are not as simulating like, reading, learning, working, coding or etc.

so stay focused on what really matters and turn that phone off .

read my post on how to be/stay focused:

🛑 Don't make a To-Do List today.

Most developers fail their week on Monday morning.
Why? Because they write a list of 20 things to do.

When you have 20 priorities, you have zero priorities. You get overwhelmed and end up scrolling social media.

Try the "Rule of 3" instead:
Write down only the 3 absolute most important tasks for this week.

e.g., Finish the API, Apply to 5 jobs, Fix the login bug.

Everything else is noise. If you finish these 3, you won the week.
