If you can’t jam with this man then you’re straight up not in my klan…
And yes, I am Reclaiming
Our sacred process of Naming
I’m declaring an end to the Shaming
Of moving with Wands all a-flaming
I’m usurping the chirping of unlawful birthing
And punishing unlawful enslaving
Of mad ones and bipoc
Of queer, weird and strange
Of projecting old illnesses on children to pretend to save face
I’m done with the blaming of wizards
And misappropriation of words
Of using words like “appropriation”
Cos y’all missed Definitions 101
Yeah, that hurts
Magic is here and free for the taking
Like air, you can breathe
And care, can you bake it?
Into a cake for your family
And eat it
While you read this
Cos I’m off the clock now
See yah later.
