One thing that people aren’t even considering on this trial is MOTIVE. I hope the lawyers for Trump bring up this question: why would Trump knowingly create chaos and a riot at the Capitol when that would only paint him in a terrible light, and also probably stop the positive proceedings that were going on, that would help make the case for not certifying his election? In other words, why would he do anything destroy his favor with the legislators, when they were already set to try to block certification, and debate the legitimacy of the electors?

This is infuriating and frightening all at the same time. The military is now attacking dozens of groups as “extremist” and white supremacists, and going to weed out anyone involved with them. Even Pepe the Frog, the Three Percenters, and more. No mention of Antifa or BLM. Those are totally fine.
