βοΈ A validator is a computer running a blockchain's software around the clock. Its job is simple to describe: check that transactions are honest, and help write new blocks into the chain (Blockchain).
Think of it as the network's auditor. It verifies, confirms, and earns rewards for doing it right - and gets penalised for doing it wrong.
In Proof-of-Stake (PoS), every validator is backed by staked tokens. The more trusted stake behind it, the more work the network hands it.
