I recently received some bats in stock! Bats are so adorable and underrepresented. This one is made from a slice of agate, with quartz crystals formed on it!

Results are green across the board. ALL scanners work now, and work WELL. The new ones scan about twice as fast as before. All from making the barcode... 25% SMALLER.

But how good does it ACTUALLY work? A couple of these scanners have NOT been able to even read my new mini-barcodes and were rendered useless except for reading the legacy older 4-digit codes (that the newer scanners ignore and won't read).

Found out that they all worked on test row 4 and 7, with 7 being the best.

Each cell is a mini-graph, showing how dependable it can read each barcode at various distances. Left is up close, right is farther away. If it reads, I make the ink darker the more dependable it is at that distance.

I was already making the barcodes smaller than DYMO officially allows by using my own homebrewed barcode font. I thought I was pushing the envelope as it already was.

So I've been needing to adjust my mini labels for the bebbies. The barcode just had too tight of tolerance. If it's off printing just a bit to the left or right, the barcode gets cut off and won't work.
