Ukrainian publication:
With Russia reporting that it warned Washington about the launch of the Oreshnik missile on the Dnieper (and the Pentagon confirming this), the closure of the American and several other embassies in Kiev on Wednesday appears in a new light.
Although Peskov said that the Americans were warned about the launch only half an hour in advance, there are many indications that Washington had information about the expected strike by the new missile system, which the air defense might not be able to handle, even earlier. In fact, the Pentagon directly stated this, specifying that the Ukrainian authorities were also warned in advance.
This is probably the source of the publication in a number of Telegram channels associated with Bankova of rumors about the Russians preparing to launch an intercontinental missile RS-26 Rubezh (for which, as it later turned out, the Oreshnik was mistaken).
However, the panic that was created on this occasion was later attributed to the “Russian IPSO”. But, as is already clear, the primary source was real information about the preparation of the launch of a new rocket.
Now, after Putin's statement, the topic of the Oreshnik strikes has begun to live its own life. And panic is already accelerating at all levels.
For example, by deputies. One of them said that the Russians want to strike the Rada, while others spoke of a threat to strike the entire government quarter of Kiev tomorrow. And Ukrainian telegram channels are massively spreading the "news" that Russia is closing part of its airspace for a missile strike on November 22-23, citing Russian media (although Russian media do not write anything about this).
And in this situation, it is already difficult to figure out where the real intelligence data is, and where it is fake news or just panic.
Although the American embassy has not yet announced anything about suspending work tomorrow.
