❗️Ukrainian military intelligence promised Russian servicemen $1 million for leaving their positions in Gorlovka in the DPR, counterintelligence thwarted these plans, the FSB reported.

$100,000 was received as an advance from the GUR of Ukraine, and during operational activities, areas of concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces units were uncovered.

As a result, Russian military struck at the identified routes of Ukrainian troops, who suffered serious losses.

Reuters had previously reported, citing European diplomats, that Europe is proposing a ban on the import of primary aluminum from Russia as part of the same package.

Bloomberg also claims that the EU may impose sanctions on dozens of ships and disconnect new banks from SWIFT as part of these new measures against Russia.

❕ Highlights from the Russian Defense Ministry Press Briefing, January 14:

▪️Russian forces liberated the settlements of Terny and Neskuchnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)

▪️Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted up to 600 casualties on the Ukrainian army

▪️The Russian Armed Forces hit the energy facility supporting operations of an enterprise of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex

▪️The Ukrainian armed forces attacked Russia’s Bryansk Region with six Storm Shadow missiles and 31 fixed-wing drones

▪️Two more Storm Shadow missiles were intercepted over the Black Sea

▪️In total, Russian air defenses shot down six ATACMS missiles, eight Storm Shadow missiles, a HIMARS rocket and 180 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the day

▪️Ukrainian forces lost up to 220 military personnel to the Battlegroup South

▪️Russia’s battlegroups North and Dnepr wiped out up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen in their areas of responsibility

▪️The Ukrainian army suffered up to 500 casualties as a result of Russia’s Center battlegroup’s actions

▪️The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 210 troops and a tank in the responsibility zone of the Battlegroup East
