resume helps landing an interview... won't help you get through the interview... won't help you sustain at work, as an impactful employee...
but if you don't land an interview then you won't get a job :( so your resume should be good enough to at least land an interview... most of the people (including me) hate updating resume... but its important, at least at the early career stage where peeps don't have much experience that reflects your working abilities...
a candidate should be covering the parts that are in his/her control - resume, skills...
rest of the part is not in our hands - getting shortlisted for interviews or selected for the position...
