𝗡𝗖𝗧 127 is the second sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, formed and currently managed by SM entertainment. Their unit name is combination of the acronym for NEO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY, signiflyng their parental groups unlimited members, and the unit being based in Seoul, with the number "127" 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. The group debuted on july 7, 2016 with the single "Firetruck" consisting of seven member : 𝗧𝗮𝗲𝗶𝗹, 𝗧𝗮𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 (𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿), 𝗬𝘂𝘁𝗮, 𝗝𝗮𝗲𝗵𝘆𝘂𝗻, 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻. Their debut extended play NCT #127 was a commercial succes upon its release and earned the unit several award nominations, eventually winning them the Best New Group title at several music award showes in 2016 members Doyoung and Johnny then joined the unit in December 2016, ahead of their second extended play "Limitless" in 2017. Jungwoo was then introduced as the newest to the unit in September 2018, followed by the group's first studio album "Regular-Irregular" later in October 2018. On November 2018, SM has notified the general public that Winwin will not partake in promotions for Regulate, as he Will be contributing in promotions for WayV.
