HOW TO GET RID OF MOSS AND LICHEN ON FRUIT TREES IN THE GARDEN.
It will come in handy next season!
Take note✏️
Garden trees are often covered with moss and lichen, which leads to slower growth and reduced fruiting.
Over time, the branches of such trees die off and dry up - they need pruning.
Moss and lichen create a favorable environment for the development of insect pests.
Ways of protection:
1. Iron sulfate solution 5%. Dilute 500 grams per 10 liters of water and treat the trunk and skeletal branches of trees. Lichen and moss should fall off in a week.
2. Thinning pruning. This method is suitable if the garden is very neglected. Overgrown branches should be trimmed, which will give additional air and light.
3. Salt, ash and soap. If the lichen and moss is not too much, then mix 1 kg of salt, 2 kg of wood ash and two pieces of laundry soap in 10 liters of water. Boil, cool and coat the trunk of the tree.
