THE LAMP DEVOTION

STREAMS OUT OF THE GROUND
Isaiah 44:1-4
Here is God making a promise to Jacob. The significant thing about this promise is that in God’s mind, the beneficiaries of His blessings are the descendants of Jacob. The eternal God always looks beyond the current in His dealings with His children. With Abraham, He always talked about “your descendants”. One wonders why today the prophets around are specialists in generational curses and blood line curses and not generational blessings and blood line blessings.
Don’t we need discernment from the Holy Spirit in these last days? What will be Apostle Paul’s take on some of these doctrines that are flowing freely in the body of Christ, that is not making people’s lives better than before?
When God talks about the plans He has for His children, they have always been plans for good, not of evil. When He talks about doing something new, it is about things that will positively impact generations. That is the God we serve, and we need to align our thoughts, our emotions and our understandings to His pattern of dealing with us. In any case, who is better positioned to deal with evil coming against us than Jehovah our God?
Let us concern ourselves with what He has commissioned us to do, and trust that He knows how to win our battles for us.
Prayer
1. Thank God for the good things He has for your children and descendants.
2. Pray that you will be more sensitive to what God is doing in your life than what the devil is doing.
3. Father, please open my eyes to see You better than I have so far in my life.
Declarations
I declare that My heavenly Father is the eternal God who was, is and is forevermore sovereign. He holds my life and my offsprings to the third and fourth generations if Jesus tarries. I trust Him for what He is doing and will continue to do throughout all my generations. I declare that no one can prevail against us as He works on our behalf in the name of Jesus.

Isaiah 44:1-4
“Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, And Israel whom I have chosen. 2 Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you: ‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. 3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; 4 They will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.’
