There are two issue. One, the Quran does not set a minimum age of marriage or divorce. In fact, it suggests that men can divorce female before they menstruate - that is before puberty!

In this verse, the Quran sets the conditions to when the remarriage of women after divorce- to ensure a child you get from them is yours.

"And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] *those who have not menstruated* ...."
Quran 65:4
The Tafsir (explanation) is very clear about underage girls being divorced.

And then comes many authentic Hadith about the age of Aisha at marriage.

Narrated Hisham's father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.

Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Narrated 'Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls is forbidden for adult girls.) (Fateh-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13)

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.'

And why is this a problem? Because the Quran is clear when it says:
"Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent EXAMPLE for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day...." Quran 33:21

In effect, giving a green light to every sick old man who want to abuse a little girl to say "I am only following our beloved Prophet example".

Note WHO does not warn DANGER to life from eating pork. Over 60% (some 4 billion people) of the world eats pork, and they are fine.

But Muhammad claimed it is a treatment to stomach upsets. Here is the evidence and the story has a disturbing ending. But we will discuss it another day. "Some people from the tribe of 'Ukl came to the Prophet and embraced Islam. The climate of Medina did not suit them, so the Prophet ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink, their milk and urine (as a medicine)." Sahih Bukhari 8:82:794 " Anas b. Malik reported that some people belonging (to the tribe) of 'Uraina came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) at Medina, but they found its climate uncongenial. So Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to them: If you so like, you may go to the camels of Sadaqa and drink their milk and urine. They did so and were all right."

In the late 1980's, it was boycott Britain over Salman Rushie's book Satanic Verses, since then we had boycotts to USA, France, China, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Austria, and even Canada (do we even remember what the boycott was about?)

They all have the same story, people go down on the streets...screaming, cursing, burning cheaply coloured flags (they do not have money to pay for real flags)....go home thinking they pleased Allah, few days later...they go back to eating the same foods, driving the same cars, supporting the football teams that are in these countries...as if nothing has happened.

There are people literally living waiting to die! You may think they have cancer or something. Metaphysically, maybe, a cancer of thoughts. They don't care about their own life as they see this life as a very short and insignificant time, a test, because no sooner they die they start brothel-Jannah, all the food and sex for eternity!!!

Their desperation reaches such high (and I mean an addictive high) that they are going to defend this dream in every possible way:
- Muhammad is a symbol of morality for all humanity even though he was a womaniser, sex addict, slept with a child, owned and sold slaves, killed little boys of opposing tribes for having a single pubic hair, and engaged in aggressive military attacks.
- Quran is from an All-knowing god even though it has many confusing verses, complete organised mess to read, has many scientific errors and immoral commands.
- The Hadith is a mess of ranked narrations that some are weak and some that are meant to be authentic are so ridiculous, they ought to be thrown or shredded. Many serious concerns about their validity.

And this perfect prophet, with a perfect book, and a perfect message...had created all this mess whereby hundreds of groups and sects cannot agree on one way of implementing Islam so much so that we have ISIS, AlQaida, Bokoharam, AlShaba, Mujahudun, Taliban, Wahhabism, Salafism Shia, Suffi, and wars that have raged between different groups from the moment Muhammad died till this day!!

There are people so desperate to see that brothel-Jannah, they are happy to make excuses to this and everything I just mentioned today...to see this dream come true...so much so, that even though at times they can see these individual and combined issues, they choose to continue dreaming and not to wake up to a cult that made itself a mainstream religion..... I sometimes speculate what is behind this blind faith? I guess it is a combination of Stockholm Syndrome and brainwashing. Unfortunately, it works.

Does the hijab stop harassment of women? The answer is no! There is no evidence it does. Does education and open society reduce it? Yes. Ironically, women get harnessed more for not wearing it...in Islamic communities., read the context in which the hijab became an obligation. It is equally a ridiculous story!!

The sequence of events leading to the obligation of the Hijab as laid out in the hadith are as follows:

Umar repeatedly asks Muhammad that Allah should reveal verses for the Qur'an pertaining to the veiling of women.

No such revelation is sent down.

Umar follows Muhammad's wives one night when they go out to relieve themselves (go to the toilet) and calls out to Muhammad's wife Sauda.

Sauda goes home in a state of embarrassment and relates to Muhammad what has happened.

Allah then reveals the hijab verse as Umar had wanted all along.

The story of the Hijab and how it came about many years into Islam and mostly because of Umar insistence added to the many issues that negate the concept that the Quran was already written from the start of time! Thales of Miletus is a Greek Philosopher who suggested water is the source of all living things some 1000 years before Muhammad. You probably saw loads of YouTube videos of people claiming the Quran is a miracle because "No one knew this at the time". This turned out to be bullshit. Muhammad did not come up with new teachings of Islam. Independent historians can see that Islam is based on the religions of that time.

People in the days of Muhammad used to say: "Muhammad only repeats what he learned" and they were right. Muhammad learned many of these faith from his maternal uncle Waraqah Ibn Nawfal who was a priest in Christianity and Judaism. For many historians who look at Islam from an objective lense, Islam is a branch of Judaism, linked with Christianity for continuity, blended with Zoroastrianiam for creativity, and mixed with Arabian mythology such as Jinns and direction of prayer to Mecca.

No one claimed that Muhammad was making wild claims when the Quran said "we made from water everything alive" they knew that already. No one was surprised when the Quran said iron comes from the sky, they saw meteorites carry metal and they knew that already as did many other cultures before Islam. If you watch the video above to learn more about wild claims of "Quranic miracles" that are in fact common knowledge. Modern science may have "reconfirmed" them but they were already known at the time.

The next time a brother or sister questions your morality now that you left Islam and says "Go sleep with your mother, sister or aunt..."
Here is the response:
"If you are referring to Quran 4:23 that forbids sleeping with your mother, sister, aunts, step mothers, neices? Guess what, it does not mention grandmothers. So would you sleep yours?"

Here is the verse 4:23
˹Also˺ forbidden to you for marriage are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your paternal and maternal aunts, your brother’s daughters, your sister’s daughters, your foster-mothers, your foster-sisters, your mothers-in-law, your stepdaughters under your guardianship if you have consummated marriage with their mothers—but if you have not, then you can marry them—nor the wives of your own sons, nor two sisters together at the same time—except what was done previously. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Note, no mention of the grandmother. Why? My analysis on this is based on Mohammad himself. Muhammad did not have relationship with his grandparents that we know about. He was abandoned really. His father supposedly died four years before he was born. As ridiculous as this sounds, I am not joking!! Below is the reference. His mother, supposedly carried him for four years before giving birth to him. She did not want to look after him. She handed him to the tribe for which his uncle looked after him. Thus, we have to evidence that neither his paternal or maternal grandparents had any relationship with him. Why is this relevant? When one does not have that strong relationships with his grandparents, you can see why the verse that went as far as naming every possible female relative, would forget grandmother. And what is further evidence this is Muhammad talking from his point of view - it talk to men about who they can marry. Wouldn't a God just simply say your mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces!! Quran written by a man for men!
