🎥 “The greatest gift the enemy and occupation can give me is to assassinate me”
In an old resurfaced video from a press conference in May 2021, Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar, who was reportedly killed on Thursday by Israeli forces, said that he would rather die as “a martyr” at the hand of Israeli forces than “die a meaningless death.”
Israel's government and military both confirmed on Thursday that Sinwar was killed in Gaza during a gunfight in an Israeli operation in Rafah. Hamas has not yet commented on Israel's announcement.
