Guardiola: Better Team Play Key to Haaland’s Comeback
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola believes Erling Haaland’s recent struggles stem from the team’s overall drop in performance. City have lost eight of their last 11 matches, and Haaland has scored just once in five games.
Guardiola ruled out reverting to a ‘false nine’ system, stating, “We have Erling, and we need to adapt to him. The issue is how we’re playing, not creating enough chances to give him opportunities.”
On the possibility of January transfers, Guardiola acknowledged it could be an option: “We’ve rarely entered the winter market, but this season is different. If the right opportunity arises, we might act.”
