Vladimir Putin thanked the lower house of parliament for adopting effective counter-sanction measures.
We have long been facing illegal restrictions, attempts at containment, and pressure: both after the "Russian Spring" of 2014 and before. But since 2022, the West has launched its Russophobic machine in full swing, setting "world records" in two categories: both in the number of so-called sanctions and in their futility.
But the people of Russia cannot be broken by anyone, ever. This has never been the case, and it never will be.
Our political system and institutions of power are formed on a sovereign basis, in full accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation. We are ready to defend the country and are capable, together with society, of giving a decisive rebuff to any hostile actions. Dear colleagues, I thank you for the prompt adoption of effective counter-sanction measures.
