- what makes you better than me?

“everything. generations of breeding and wealth had to come together to produce me. i have more in common with marie antoinette than with you.”

“over the years he became my father, husband, and very nearly god. now he was gone and I felt more alone and afraid than ever in my life.”

— priscilla beaulieu presley, elvis and me

“I felt karate wasn’t very feminine. so I decided to go back into ballet.”

— priscilla presley

i would rather die than ask for help or support from anyone in this world.

“no one has really heard my side of the story, the adventure we had together, the transformation that I had going from a schoolgirl to a woman overnight.”

— priscilla presley

pinterest is so therapeutic. there’s no drama, no one to argue with. just pretty pictures.

“any time you create a mystery, people want to know. and when you don’t want people to know a lot of things, they create their own stories.”

— priscilla presley

persian rose love pastary.

why did you leave without saying goodbye?

“I wanted to write about love and precious, wonderful moments and ones filled with grief and disappointments, about a man’s triumphs and defeats, much of it with a child-woman at his side, feeling and experiencing his pain and joys as if they were one.”

— priscilla beaulieu presley, elvis and me

“it sounded silly to me, they knew who he was, as did the whole world. but elvis was the perfect gentleman. my father was visibly impressed, and from that moment on, elvis always addressed him as captain beaulieu or sir. this was characteristic of elvis, whatever a person’s position in life-whether doctor or lawyer, professor or motion-picture director-unless someone were in elvis’s immediate circle, elvis rarely used first names, even in dealing with people he’d known for years. as he once explained to me, “it’s s simple. they’ve worked hard to get where they are. someone should respect them.”

— priscilla beaulieu presley, elvis and me

i just want to be a perfect mix of audrey hepburn, blair waldorf, grace kelly, priscilla presley, briar rose (aurora), marie antoinette, hera, monica bellucci, bella hadid, hailey beiber, claudia schiffer, an old vintage barbie or an ever after high/disney princess, and francesca bridgerton. is that too much?

“i didn’t know it would come to this but, that’s what happens when you’re on your own, when you’re alright with letting nice things go.”

“he hit me and it felt like a kiss.”

as i reflect on my life as i grow older, i can’t help but feel a pang of sadness when i think back to the carefree girl i used to be. the spirit and passion that once fueled me have faded away, leaving me feeling empty. the spark that once lit up my soul has dimmed. it’s as if a part of me was taken away when i grew up, leaving me feeling lost and alone. the joy and laughter that once filled my days are now buried beneath layers of regret and sorrow, and as i write these words, i can’t help but mourn for the little girl inside me who is no longer there, forever missed.
