French cyber intelligence exploited a known Android kernel flaw, identified as CVE-2019-2215 and nicknamed "Bad Binder." The vulnerability allowed attackers to inject arbitrary code into freed memory areas, effectively creating a backdoor into the encrypted messaging platform.
