Good morning from Manhattan.

As-Salaam-Alaikum from and Ramadan Mubarak to each of you.

By the time you get this, I’ll either be in surgery or on my way out. This morning I am having multi-level disc replacement surgery for my cervical spine (my neck) with the hope that it will relieve some pain I’ve been in for years. This discs have been pushing directly on my spinal cord and have made it hard for me to turn my head or use my right arm.

I only have one simple request, and it’s not for me, it’s for Gaza.

I won’t be able to fundraise for Gaza or even lift my phone or computer for several weeks if not longer.

🎥 Palestinian activist Bisan Odeh has shared an account of why at she said was a massacre that the Israeli army committed last night, after violating a ceasefire agreement, resulting in the deaths of 400 Palestinians.

Israel and America aim to break the will of the Palestinian people but they just don’t understand a few things.

First, I earnestly think that the Americans and Israelis can only imagine what would break THEM. But you are not them. The Palestinians have suffered for the sake of Allah for generations and can endure what you cannot.

Secondly, they truly don’t understand that as Muslims we take pride in suffering and take great pride in even being killed for the sake of Allah. The thing that they know would break themselves simply don’t impact Muslims in the same way.

Lastly, and I pray that I am right, I think the world may finally turn on Israel over these current atrocities. It’s just too much.

Only time will tell.
