A friend of mine lives up in Corowa and just messaged me an update about what's happening up there. Just outside of town there's a massive pig farm called Rivalea that was recently bought out by the world's biggest meat processer, JBS. Prior to that, Rivalea was one of the largest employers in the Riverina region, supporting a lot of the smaller towns along the Murray.

Since JBS took over, they've replaced the entire local management team, bought two local motels and rent several houses in Corowa just to house their new migrant workforce (mostly Philippinos, living a dozen per house). They replaced all their third party carriers with their own truck fleet, also operated by migrants.

I walked up the main street of town not long after this process started, and it was the first time I'd seen a non-white at all, and there were several groups of them hanging around on street corners.

The locals all talk about it, and none of them like it, but it's unlikely there's anything they can do about it. This is just another Springfield Ohio, courtesy of globohomo.
