Teaser for Heinrich Himmler: Man of the East - An Upcoming Substack Article
From the Introduction:
Himmler would see an “affinity” between Nordic runes and Japanese script. In May 1938, he kickstarted a one-year expedition to Tibet, led by the German zoologist Ernst Schäfer, to “explore the story of a primeval Germanic race which had inhabited that region, and in 1943, charged Schäfer to breed a strain of winter-proof Mongolian horse.”
