Survey Summary

It is surprising to see that Online Pre-recorded lessons are opted for as equal as Traditional Classes, with Live Zoom classes being the last option.

Why surprising, because i was told by many-many people that Market in Uzbekistan is fully focused on Offline classes, offering Pre-recorded lessons to the market is a whole new ballgame. But actually it is not as expected.

As i am switching my job in the coming 5-6 months, aim of this survey was to see whether students accept Pre-recorded lessons or not.

So in the near future i will probably be asking you to join my webinar on the topic of "How to ACCA with Mirafzal Online?"

Happy Ramadan, folks!

May Allah bless us all in this holy month of Ramadan 🤲

Behzod Hoshimov is one of the beloved blogers of mine.

I remember years of 2019 when we started to study economics, public finance and etc. We were simply bored to death, learning by heart these tons of statements written by our Professor from Economics.

But Hoshimov's interviews truly helped me to broaden my horizon and to look at economics from another angle. Although the interviews did not make sense to me initially, as time went by it has become 100% understandable.

Recommend to watch interview with Odilbek Isakov,CFA

Although it is a bit old interview, it is worth to watch:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2mRafyDTww&list=PLjq4749k8WJCnPF0H80sWHIK4mZDNoGaA&index=6

Even though i am ACCA tutor and ACCA Student for now, i decided to say one important thing:

Please do not OVERFOCUS on ACCA

Try to understand how Economics works, how finance works, what is happening around the world.

Therefore, although it is channel dedicated to ACCA resources to share with, from time to time i will be sharing useful youtube links to watch.

Hot Review of PM March 2023

Section A

Questions from the entire syllabus:

3 q
uestions right from my Life or Death Exam😎

Section B
Throughput Accounting
Budgeting
Limiting factor analysis
Planning&Operational Variances

Section C

Divisional Performance measurement - ROI, RI

Shut-down decision - Three hospital - decide close or not?

CVP calculation - with assumption to discuss

Balanced Scorecard - analyze according to BSC.

PS: Some students had variance analysis type of questions in Section A, B but some students did not have at all.

ACCA has the power to test from anywhere it wants, instead of question spotting, it is better to perform well, whatever the topic is given!

No regrets if the best topic you have prepared for is not tested!

Hot Review of FM March 2023 Session

Section A

As usual all parts of FM w
ere tested in this section. About 8 - 10 questions are narrative questions, where calculation is not directly required.

EAC, Average Inventory, Annual Cost/benefit of discount, Market Value calculation and as usual Risk
were tested, some of which were already in my Life or Death Mock Exam.

Section B

Risk Management
Business Finance
Investment appraisal/Working capital

Section C

Investment appraisal - 10 mark calculations, 10 mark narrative.

WACC calculation with Project Specific cost of equity for 5 marks.

For some students, Working capital ratio calculation and Working Capital Financing policy discussion.

Finally, FM exam is knocking the door?🚪

1. My guess: Investment Appraisal and Business Finance comes in Section C.

2. Section B as usual Risk management, Business Valuation, Working Capital.

3. Make sure you are comfortable with Theoretical part of FM - Economic Environment, Financial Markets are usually on the shot of FM Examiners

4. WACC always uses after tax cost of debt, whereas Market Value calculation uses pre-tax cost of debt.

5. Project specific Cost of equity is a good question to ask for 6 marks in Section C.

6. Finally be concise in narrative part of Section C, simply stating the advantage of NPV does not score a mark, unless applied to the case.

Are you sitting FR exam tomorrow?👀

Then here you are tips for the exam:

1. Be careful with DATES: Months, Years📅

2. Approach to this exam like 2.5 hr exam. Spend the last 30 minutes to refresh your mind, and then to look back again to Section A,B's difficult questions

3. IFRS 3, 10, 15, 16 ; IAS 36,38,16 they are key standards - make sure you are ok with these standards

4. Do not ignore 20 mark interpretation question - just narrating the dynamic is not enough, and tell the reason why ratios are changing. Reasons should not be composed, or assumed, it should be specific to the case.

In shaa Allah, together with good technical knowledge, techniques mentioned above will hopefully put you at the front of the queue when it comes to gaining a pass in FR

Good luck!

My best wishes to all girls, sisters, Moms and women!

Our life is incomplete without you!

Although it is exam day for some of you, spend some time for yourself! We are born once!

Are you taking PM tomorrow? Here is the tip of the day.

1. Be careful with Months, Weeks, and Years. Questions give variables per month, but costs are given per annum. In order to find a cost per unit, make sure you do not forget that there are 12 months in a year

2. If 10 hrs is spent for 1st product, and 8 hrs spent for the 2nd product, learning rate is not 80%, please understand this concept

3. For Section C questions Pick Up Easy marks first, like ratio calculations and Variance calculations.

4. Do not regurgitate the theory in narrative part of Section C, it is all about application. Blank theoretical answer do not earn marks.

5. For theoretical questions with 5 - 7 choices, try to eliminate the most inappropriate options first, then choose correct answer in balance. You will easily find the correct choice then, it is practically proven by me.

You are sitting TX today?

Then here you are the tip of the day:

1. Focus on Section C. it is about 90% calculation - 38 marks on calculation out of 40 marks.

2. Tax administration might be long, but you will have 3-4 questions from that, 6 - 8 marks is not a big problem.

3. IHT,CGT,VAT - Section B is always the same.

Regarding IHT - there will definitely be Tax planning questions.

4. Before starting exam, just look at Section C, if you are comfortable with the questions start from this Section.

5. Always have Shark Mindset, skip difficult questions, in every ACCA exam the 1st 50 mark will be easy to collect, the problem is easy questions are scattered around 3 sections.

Anybody taking AA in several hours?

1. Aim for 50 out 70, never rely on a 30-mark Section A questions. They are always difficult

2. Start from Section B, then come to Section A. If you do not have time at the end, you can predict in Multiple choices, but you can not predict writing a substantive procedure

3. Intangibles recognition, Revenue recognition, NCA recognition and inventory - some of them come over and over again in Audit Risk type of questions.

4. It is good to LEARN substantive procedures BY HEART just before going in to the exam hall, that might bring you some marks.

5. It might be late to tell, but you should be typing at least 60wpm.

"My top exam technique tip for those sitting ACCA exams this week - SHARK MINDSET.

Did you know that if a shark stops swimming, it drowns? It has to keep swimming to survive.

In the exam, be like a shark. When you get to a hard part (and you will!), don't get bogged down. There will be lots of easier marks to pick up, but you have to swim on to reach them." - Ben Wilson

Good luck for your exams everyone!
