The learning to grow food project is going well. Today I harvested potatoes, a Swede and some mint (not in photo).
I will use the smallest potatoes as seed potatoes for the next batch. There are still some growing. I've got a good number of swedes growing in my little patch but I think they can bigger.
My carrots and parsnips are doing well but mostly still too small to pull.
Disappointed about the strawberries, I had started to get a decent amount of ready to be picked then something has managed to get in the netting eat them all and escape.
Apple tree is very fruitful this year. I thought there were probably too many little apples growing on the tree as it is covered in them, the tree seems to have decided that also because there are now many undeveloped and inedible small apples falling.
Thinking about trying some of the radish pods in a dish, they are apparently edible and trying out old nettle recipes.
Really does bring some sense of peace gardening. Useful skill too, in these times.
