What we know so far:- Pavel Durov has been arrested in Paris
- A federal wanted and search warrant has been issued for Pavel Durov
- French security services came to see Pavel Durov.
- Pavel Durov will be tried in the next few days.
Law enforcement authorities believe Durov is involved in “drug trafficking, crimes against children and fraud” due to Telegram's “lack of moderation and cooperation with the law”; French search warrant against Durov “was only valid when he was in the country” - TF1 TV channel
Pavel Durov faces up to 20 years in prison in France. Pavel will soon stand trial as a French citizen - TF1 TV channel
French intelligence services will seek access to correspondence linked to criminal organizations and sanctioned companies and individuals - French media.
These kinds of accusations that we have seen from the French media were voiced on the basis of refusal to provide data to Telegram - which in their understanding supports the above mentioned
Also, the Russian State Duma sent a letter to the Foreign Ministry urging them to “Get Pavel Durov out of France.”
In the case of landing, an exchange is likely to be considered
In response, the French media responded that Durov is a French citizen and is not subject to exchange.
Pavel was also declared persona non grata.
