💗 Career tip: don’t let finding a good job pressure you into applying immediately.

You see a role that looks interesting.

The instinct is often:
“I need to apply before everyone else.”

But a rushed application can mean:

• barely reading the full job description
• missing an important requirement
• sending the same resume you use everywhere
• knowing almost nothing about the company
• giving weak answers to basic application questions

If the role is still open, taking a little time to understand it properly can be much more useful than applying five minutes after finding it.

Save the job.
Read it again later.
Look at what the company actually needs and decide which parts of your experience are worth emphasizing.

Being early is nice.
Being relevant matters more.

💗 Want to get your first Web3 job? Start with the role, not with “Web3.”

A practical roadmap:

1. Pick 1–2 roles.
Support, marketing, community, engineering, design, data, sales, operations, etc.

2. Read real job descriptions.
Look at what those jobs repeatedly ask people to do.

3. Separate the gaps.
What do you already know? What Web3 context do you need? What skills do you need better proof of?

4. Learn only what is relevant.
You don’t need to understand every corner of crypto before applying.

5. Build something you can show.
A project, analysis, support guide, content sample, growth teardown, GitHub repo, community plan or whatever makes sense for your target role.

6. Get closer to the work.
Follow the companies, products, communities and people in that area. Pay attention to how the work actually happens.

7. Apply with evidence.
Show how your existing experience + new Web3 knowledge + work samples make sense for that specific role.
Then use the response you get to improve the next application.

Your first goal isn’t “get into Web3.”

It’s much smaller:

Become a convincing candidate for one specific Web3 job.

💗 Career tip: don’t waste the feedback hidden inside an interview.

Even when a company doesn’t send detailed rejection feedback, you can usually learn something from the conversation itself.

After the interview, write down:
• Which questions took you too long to answer
• Where you struggled to give a concrete example
• Which part of your experience the interviewer kept probing
• Any skill or responsibility they asked about that wasn’t obvious from your application
• The questions you wish you had answered differently

Then use that before the next application or interview.

Maybe one of your strongest projects isn’t explained clearly enough on your resume.

Maybe you need a better example of handling conflict, ownership, growth, or working across teams.

Maybe the role exposed a skill gap you actually want to work on.

You won’t get useful feedback after every rejection.

But you can still make sure the interview gives you something useful for the next one.

Mock interview question for business developers:

> In your experience, how has the role of community influencers (KOLs) evolved in the web3 space, and what do you think their future impact will be?

What would be your answer?

If you could improve ONE thing on CryptoJobsList, what would that be?

💗 You have an offer deadline, but another interview process is still running. What do you say?

Use the real deadline.

You don’t need to invent another offer, exaggerate urgency or try to pressure the second company.

You can simply say:
“I’ve received another offer with a decision deadline on Friday. I’m still very interested in this role, so I wanted to ask whether you expect the process to progress before then.”

That gives the hiring team information they can actually act on.

They might be able to move the process forward.
They might tell you honestly that their timeline won’t fit.
Either answer is useful.

A real deadline is context, not a negotiation trick.

🖥 CryptoJobsList Ambassador applications are officially open.

If you already share Web3 opportunities, connect talent with teams, help companies find people, run communities, create content, recruit or simply have a strong network in Web3, this could be for you.

Your network doesn’t have to be entirely online either. IRL communities, events, meetups and ecosystem connections count too.

Approved Ambassadors get a personal referral link and dashboard to track talent and company referrals, leaderboard progress and rewards.

We published the full breakdown of how the program works, who it’s for, rewards and what happens after you apply.
