The IDF killed the Hamas police chief and his assistant last night.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m., an Air Force helicopter, according to Gazan sources, launched a missile at a tent set up on Al-Attar Street in western Khan Yunis - in the Mawasi humanitarian zone.
As a result, 11 people were killed, including:
1. Mahmoud Salah (with the beret in the picture), who heads Hamas' police apparatus in the Gaza Strip (with the rank equivalent to a major general).
2. Husam Shawan, Salah's assistant, who also serves as the commander of the "Intelligence" in Gaza City (a rank equivalent to a lieutenant colonel).
Both of them, as mentioned, were hiding among the tents of displaced people inside the humanitarian zone in Mawasi in western Khan Yunis.
