Democratic senators are now looking into efforts that could limit incoming President Trump's ability to deploy the military within the US.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal have asked Biden to clarify the conditions under which the Insurrection Act can be invoked.

The Insurrection Act is a federal law authorizing the president to use military force domestically.
