📡 Trump Says the U.S. Will "Take Over" the Gaza Strip

President Trump said on Tuesday (Feb. 4) that the US would “take over” the Gaza Strip, comments he made while speaking with reporters at the White House during a press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too. We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for people of the area,” Trump said.

The president said earlier that the Palestinians must be removed from Gaza “permanently,” making it clear the plan will involve the ethnic cleansing of the territory despite strong resistance from neighboring Arab states.

Trump was asked who would live in Gaza under his plan and replied, “The world’s people,” and suggested some Palestinians may also be allowed.

He said, “I think the entire world, representatives from all over the world, will be there, and they’ll live there. Palestinians, also, … will live there. Many people will live there.”

Trump also said he wouldn’t rule out deploying troops to Gaza. “We’ll do what is necessary,” he said. “If it’s necessary, we’ll do that.”

A US takeover of the Gaza Strip would require Israel to restart its genocidal war, and it could potentially involve direct US military action. Since coming into office, Trump has begun advancing billions of dollars worth of new weapons shipments for Israel funded by US military aid.

President Trump said Wednesday that he plans to send up to 30,000 illegal immigrants to detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as part of his campaign to mass-deport migrants who have committed crimes.

“Today, I’m also signing an executive order to instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000-person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay,” Trump said while signing the anti-illegal immigration Laken Riley Act.

“Most people don’t even know that we have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people.”

Trump added that “some of them are so bad, we don’t even trust the countries to hold them, because we don’t want them coming back.”

“So we’re going to send them out to Guantanamo,” he said.

“This will double our capacity immediately, right? And tough. It’s a tough, it’s a tough place to get out of.”

📡 Constitutional Amendment to Allow Trump Third Term Introduced in the House

A Republican House member introduced a resolution Thursday to amend the U.S. Constitution in order to allow President Donald Trump — and any other future president — to be elected to a third term in the White House.

Trump “has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal,” said Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee, who proposed extending the current maximum of two elected terms.

“It is imperative that we provide President Trump with every resource necessary to correct the disastrous course set by the Biden administration,” Ogles said in a statement.

“He is dedicated to restoring the republic and saving our country, and we, as legislators and as states, must do everything in our power to support him,” said Ogles, a hardline conservative who is serving his second term in the House.

“I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms,” he added.

Syria's new HTS-appointed Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani told the World Economic Forum on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia is now the exemplar for Syria to follow.

"Where do we see inspiration for the new Syria? We have the Vision 2030 of Saudi Arabia," Al-Shaibani said during a conversation with former UK prime minister Tony Blair.

"We need Syria to be a place of peace, to be a place of development, a place free of war," the top HTS diplomat added.

📡 Trump Says He Wants to Work with China and Russia on ‘Denuclearization’

On Thursday, President Trump delivered a virtual address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and said he wanted to discuss the idea of “denuclearization” with Russia and China.

The president claimed that during his last term in office, he discussed the idea of denuclearization with Russian President Vladimir Putin, although the previous Trump administration withdrew from arms control treaties with Russia.

“We were talking about denuclearization of our two countries, and China would have come along. China right now has a much smaller nuclear armament than us, or field, than us, but they’re going to be catching [up] at some point,” Trump said.

“I will tell you that President Putin really liked the idea of cutting back on nuclear, and I think the rest of the world, we would have gotten them to follow, and China would have come along too. China also liked it. Tremendous amounts of money are being spent on nuclear, and the destructive capability is something that we don’t even want to talk about. It’s too depressing,” he added.

📡 Schumer Calls on Trump to Declassify Government Files on UFOs

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) says President Trump should declassify secret government archives about unidentified flying objects (UFOs), also known as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), in the spirit of greater government transparency.

“Now do UFOs,” Schumer wrote on social platform X in a repost of the White House’s announcement that Trump has ordered government files on John F. Kennedy, the nation’s 35th president, Robert F. Kennedy, his brother, and Martin Luther King Jr. to be declassified.

Schumer and Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) introduced a bill in the last Congress to require government records related to UAPs be disclosed unless officials provide reasons for why it should remain classified.

The provisions to require information related to UAPs or UFOs be made public, however, were later stripped from the annual defense authorization bill.

Schumer took up the mantle for calling for greater transparency for government records on UFOs from the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who sponsored a project to investigate incidents surrounding unexplained aerial phenomena.

Lawmakers took a greater interest in such phenomena a month ago when unexplained drone sightings above New York, New Jersey and other Eastern states caused an uproar in the media and on Capitol Hill.

Freemasonry is returning to Syria after being banned for over 50 years, according to a statement attributed to the Presidency of the Supreme Council of the Grand Syrian Orient Lodges, which was published in several media outlets over the weekend. The group declared that the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government had created an opportunity for its re-establishment.

Assad was ousted in December 2024 after his forces lost control to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) jihadists and other opposition groups. The new authorities, mainly Islamist factions, have promised governance reforms, although political uncertainty remains.

”For the past five decades, the Free Masons’ lodges have been officially absent from the Syrian arena due to the security and political conditions imposed by the authoritarian regime,” the statement said. It accused the previous government of suppressing “any organizations or intellectual or cultural trends that might pose a threat to its secure control over Syria and its people.”

Freemasonry, a fraternal society with secretive traditions, has historically been controversial. Critics have accused it of elitism and having undue influence in political and economic affairs, while some religious groups have alleged that its members worship the devil. The organization has also been the focus of conspiracy theories, often linked to globalist agendas or covert political control.
