Tonkeeper - the principle of "One window "
When I worked in a government agency, we had the concept of "one window" service. To understand it: it's like MFC, when you can come to one window to get a driver's license, get married, or buy an apartment. Any type of service is available at once in one window.
So, Tonkeeper has turned into that very "one window". Because it took over the entire market, and Tonhub / MyTonWallet started to be used only by old users, everyone enters the main tools and projects of the ecosystem through it. This is very bad for the projects because they have to pay huge money to be among the best.
So, because of the fact that all users are working through Tonkeeper, it is a source of truth for them. It's built on Tonapi, just like Tonviewer, which means that everything that is shown there is essentially confirmed in other sources as well (even though it's just one).
So, because Tonkeeper is a single source of truth, it can do whatever it wants. It wants to rename tokens, it wants to mark them as scam, it wants to not show the transaction at all or show it, but not completely, hiding its built-in commission.
For example, SCALE has now been rebranded to $DUST. That is, you can't actually change the smart token contract, but the name has been changed in Tonapi and Tonkeeper, and now everyone sees $DUST. If some other wallet comes along, they still have to figure out why the token shows up as SCALE on the blockchain, but everywhere else it's $DUST.
There is also a bad example of using power, when Tonapi gave up the naming of the $HMSTR project in favor of Hamster Kombat, simply renaming the first project.
Decentralization is "out of the chat room". Everything is decided at The Open Platform (TOP) company level because everything is tied to their projects. Monopoly has gotten bigger, TON is turning into some kind of PayPal.
