Another update on the dottoresoulbox scene, and once again there are new details and changes to what we previously thought.

The main events take place in the bank vault. First, we have the first dialogue with Pantalone, with a total length of 30 lines. At the end of the dialogue, 2 instances of a quest item are removed from the inventory. After that comes a second dialogue with Pantalone, 6 lines long — but here's an interesting clarification: previously it was thought that the box only appears in the third dialogue with 3 lines (more on that later), but now it turns out that the box is also present in this dialogue with Pantalone.

As for the third dialogue, it has the box across 3 lines. Initially it was thought that this specific dialogue was optional, but opinions on the files are split and no final conclusion has been reached yet, so it's still an open question — it could turn out to be mandatory too. But this is less important now, since the box turned out to be in the 100% mandatory 6-line dialogue with Pantalone anyway.

After all of this (either after the second Pantalone dialogue, if the third dialogue turns out to be optional, or after the third dialogue, if it turns out to be mandatory), we're given a target marker at certain coordinates. We don't know the exact distance, but we'll need to walk there to trigger the cutscene (previously it was thought that we'd be thrown straight into the cutscene).

When we arrive, we start a conversation (reminder: "conversation" in the files is a loose concept, and even reading notes/messages counts as a conversation) with "Check" (Investigate?). This dialogue is 54 lines long, but due to certain quirks, this label might actually be hiding NPCs — possibly even several — meaning we currently can't know exactly what dialogue is happening there, we only know it's 54 lines. At some point during this dialogue (also unknown whether it's the beginning, middle, or end), a cutscene occurs with a total length of 4 minutes. We don't know exactly who's involved in the cutscene — we can say for sure it's the Traveler, based on sub-variants of the Traveler's gender tag, and logically it's probably Pantalone too, but that has no direct confirmation, so it's speculation. Is there a box in it? Also unknown.

There's still a lot we don't know for now.

By the way, for those who don't know: the "girl" and "boy" in the filenames refer to cutscene variants based on whether your Traveler is Aether or Lumine; the presence of these variants indicates whether or not the Traveler appears in the cutscene.

Well, the 7.1v3 update is gradually approaching, it'll happen on August 24th at 13:00 (going by my timezone, UTC+3)
What does this mean for most viewers of leaks and similar content?
On v3 day there will be several posts and leaks, including from us (Sakiko), but don't expect anything mega unexpected, no point counting on a miracle right now

So what does this mean for Dottore fans? (Who have already become the bigger part of my audience, and not just mine either)
Honestly, most likely... nothing
The chance they'll add something new to the box/dbeard is very low, the chance they might try to hide what's already been leaked is, on the contrary, significantly higher — even though it wouldn't make sense, HoYo has already done that with some things before

If you're curious about the current state of the dottoresoulbox leaks that have already been posted, taking all the updates into account, a huge part of those leaks will survive to the end and most likely be confirmed, since the information there is literally undeniable and obvious, though there's some small percentage of facts that could suddenly change/turn out to be a misunderstanding, but let's all hope together that doesn't happen

Just a separate reminder that no one is making anything up, but the risk of misinterpretation can never be ruled out, which is exactly why some things get double-checked several times, sometimes even by different people

But even if something turns out to be incorrect , I won't hide it and I'll post an update — seeing a leak not pan out on something isn't very pleasant, believe me, for you and for us too, but that's better than getting disappointed waiting for something right up until release (I'm talking about yesterday's situation here)

But for now it seems like we've checked everything pretty thoroughly and I don't think there'll be a need for more updates

Anyway, given that there most likely won't be any kit updates, Dottore fans can rest until roughly pre-download time, and that's still a month away

Even if it were USC, no matter how much you hate the person, hate doesn't make leaks pulled directly from the files any less credible. If someone is 'bad' in your eyes for whatever personal reasons you've made up, that doesn't somehow make their leaks unreliable.
