You are facing issues where your old launcher is still running in the background?

Then it's most likely that is because of the notification access that your previous launcher still has. Just go to the notifications settings on your device and turn off notification access for any other launcher you are not using, so they won't run in background and consume RAM.

Thanks to all the people who signed the petition, every single one of you helps making Android more open and customizable. It's mind-blowing that we made it that far in just one day.
That shows us again how important the topic actually is for the Android community.

The first Android P Developer preview has been released recently. With the new version number came tons of changes to the Android OS, but one under-the-hood change made thousands of users upset: custom overlays can no longer be installed on Android, starting with the version number "P".

That means no more rootless Substratum. No more custom themes. It’s all gone.

The project is not dead! We are now heading towards the final release for Lawnchair Launcher v1 and then we will start working on v2 based on Pixel 2 style with all long awaited features!
