They don't do anything

The person who bought the $150,000 condo did a good job, and is lucky. Lots of people aren't so lucky. In fact, most home owner will see a price increase, but if we adjust it for inflation and markets, they usually UNDERPERFORM the S&P500 or similar markets. https://t.co/VCfNsswcoB

One counter argument which is true: it's hard to borrow $150,000 from a bank and just invest it into the S&P500. It's relatively easier to borrow $150,000 and put it in a house.
