As I wrote above, the German Greens are determined to destroy the capitalist state. The old anarco-communist ideals, adjusted to fit today's WEF agenda - you will own nothing and be happy.
Of course, we all know that behind that wonderful slogan, lie a billionaire class who will sit above the minions who own nothing.
Here in Britain, except for a radical fringe, no one takes all this "own nothing" talk seriously. Today's elite are, after all, the children of the Thatcher (and Blair) neoliberal revolution.
Germans and Brits are fundamentally different in temperament. If a German wants to say something, they say it directly, subtlety is not in their genes. We British, on the other hand, love misdirection ("Oh you must come for dinner...") and double entendre's, giving our intentions indirectly.
Could we be looking at a WEF convergence via different routes? After all, much as our sensibilities differ, the German and British economies also operate very, very differently. Industry is the lifeblood of Germany and has been for 150 years, while finance is the foundation of British prosperity and has been since at least WWI.
The German Greens aim to deindustrialise Germany, pauperising the vast majority of the population. And they say it loud and clear.
What is the aim of the Labour Party in Britain with this financial wrecking ball? They are in the process of destroying the country - socially, demographically, politically, and now economically. Is this budget their way of telling us that we must come for dinner?
Dinner in Davos or not at all.
Of course Occam's razor would say it is just sheer incompetence and amateurism.
