MSI GL75-9SE Lifespan

So I've bought this laptop a year ago, and till now It performs great in game. However recently I've noticed that my cpu heat up between 93-100 Celsius when I play. I've installed throttleStop and did undervolt the CPU. Despite doing the undervolt I still have the same temperatures , but weirdly performance in games are not impacted. How long do you think my computer can last ?

GS75 Stealth issue: Visible scanlines when display is set to 60hz when GPU is set to "MSHybrid Graphics Mode".

So, kinda another problem that I'm having with the GS75 Stealth 10SF-420 that I brought recently. I'm noticing visible scanlines whenever my display is set to 60hz when my GPU is set to MSHybrid Graphics Mode (Intel Integrated Graphics) in Dragon Center.

Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, I usually set my monitor to 144hz, but most games tend to lock the refresh rate to 60. As a result, scanlines tend to appear, usually during games that incorporate fast motion (e.g., any fighting game I play, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Mars, among others), even though I set my GPU for these games to my dedicated NVIDIA card.

Normally, I would just switch over to the Discrete Graphics Mode in Dragon Center and call it a day... except that I've been experiencing some microstuttering, for lack of a better word, on certain games when they're locked to 60hz after I switch over to DGM.

In any case, if anyone help me with my predicament, I would be really grateful. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

MSI GS66 Fans Turn on CoolerBoost Automatically

Recently my MSI GS66 has just started activating CoolerBoost at random times even though there has been no change in my computer activity. The CoolerBoost button does not stop it and it doesn't go away unless I restart. Any idea what might be causing this? Thanks.

hey! i fucked up and spilt on my GL65 ( just a little) and i unplugged everything, and turned it off. some of the keys are hard to press down, and im worried. what should i do?

[GS66] Pressing the backslash key (between right ALT and FN key) makes the backlit keyboard brighter and glitch a little. Is this a bug or a feature?

Pretty sure it's a bug but who knows!

The key is disabled in the Steelseries Windows app and it happens even when I'm in bios.

Anyone else have experienced this and know a workaround?

GPU fans running and power light turns orange. but i did not see any programs running

I have MSI GS66 stealth laptop and i noticed the power light turns orange and it means gpu and the fans are running but i already checked the GPU activity and no programs are using it.

MSI GF63 wifi update

Hi there! I realised that the laptop that I bought from JB Hi-fi was actually two models down (bought it for 2 grand and it went on sale for $400 cheaper in the next week, big oof). I thought I was getting the MSI G65 Stealth. I'm going to call it lockdown brain, I am stupid!
Anyway, I'm wondering whether there's room in the GF63 for the killer 6 wifi unit and whether it's worth my money to get it updated / fixed or if I should just exchange this laptop for the newer model.

I’m getting low MBPS on my MSI GS66 Stealth

In all my other devices my network connection is above 150mbps but for my MSi gs66 I’m only getting around 30mbps for some reason. I’ve tried researching online for what might cause the issue but everything is turning out blank. I’ve tried turning WiFi off and on for 30 secs but that does not seem to work. I need help!

Optimizing GS65 RTX 2060 for perfomance.

I recently got a GS65 9sf and I was just confused as to how I can reduce bloat and do stuff like updating drivers, settings for fans, thermals, how to use DC, making my windows 10 lighter and stuff to make running games lighter and easier. Is there any set of steps I can do in order to make the pc lighter right off the bat?

What kind of storage can I use on my GE66?

Looking at the manual for my laptop it says it supports two M.2 slots.... PCIe SATA SSD and PCIe SSD. My laptop box says it has Nvme memory.

Im confused with all these names, Can I just use an Intel 660p?

MSI GE66 Extending Battery Life

Hello everyone!
I just received my new MSI GE66 (i9, 2070 Super) and so far I'm in love with it!


I have one question though: considering that I'll be carrying it around to University and stuff, what can I do to maximize the battery life?
So far I've seen that you can select the "Battery Mode" from the Dragoncenter, plus choosing to prioritize the battery itself over the performance on the battery menu.
What else can I do?

Limiting CPU frequency

hi, i have MSI GS65 laptop and i've noticed that my fan speed is increasing and become noisy even while normal use (just browsing chromes and watching steams on twitch). is there a software to limit the CPU frequency? I've tried the dragon center and used a customized profile with ECO and fan speed at basic it limits the CPU to 0.9 GHZ from 3.8. however, after few minutes its return to 3.8. I already re-pasted the cpu and gpu with MX-4 thermal but did not see big difference.

YSK that if you bough a "gaming " ssd you should turn off "gaming mode"

TL;DR at bottom

I upgraded my gs66 with a WDBlack 250gb, I didn't buy it because of the speed, the "gaming aspect" or really anything else. My old laptop needed a speed boost, it was what I could afford, and since the gs66 had an open m.2 slot I installed it. The ssd has a gaming mode that doesn't allow it to go into lower power modes to save a couple of miliseconds while the sdd gets back to the high power modes to operate. Long story short, after installing it I saw my battery time drop and my C-states never reaching 8 or 9 like they used to. The high power modes of the ssd weren't allowing the cpu to go into lower power modes either and consumed 6-8mw more on idle, which on the long run can be hours of difference. I didn't know what was happening, update every driver, reinstalled windows and nothing was working, until I remembered that in my old laptop I had turned on "gaming mode" for the ssd. Disabled it and now I'm back to great battery life.

TL;DR - If you bought an ssd with a "Gaming mode", like the WDBlack, disable it, as it will consume more power at idle, making your battery life worse and not making any significant difference to speed.

GE66 using Nvidia 452.06?

Hey y’all, is anybody using a GE66 with Nvidia driver 452.06? If so, how are you updating the drivers? I haven’t been able to update mine through GeForce experience or manually on Nvidia’s website so I used DDU and now my Fn key nor Windows settings will allow me to adjust the brightness. It’s just stuck at max brightness. Any ideas anyone?
