R v Christopher Morris at CoA THU.19.APR.2018 (1)(2).pdf
Don't know if anyone is aware or remembers the Christopher Morris case in 2018.. From memory, protesters were trying to prevent an elderly lady's house from being repossessed because the writ they were shown bore no signature of a judge. Chris was arrested and convicted of obstructing a High Court Officer. He appealed to the Crown Court and the outcome was that the original writ could not be found (if it ever existed), the conviction was quashed and he was given costs. I believe that it took over two years to finally resolve this but it did not help the old lady who had been unlawfully evicted.
