I think the other flyers would go over some people's heads in my very conservative small town, so I threw these together. Thoughts? Suggestions?

International?

I’m someone who lives in Canada, and would love a $20 min. wage. How would this movement be capable of being an international phenomenon?

Sick days/leave?

I'm not sure if it would be too much to add, but I've seen paid parental leave talked about but nothing at all about sick days/leave. Which is something I feel like should be discussed, especially after the pandemic.

Most places don't give you sick days which is what leads most of us to work through being sick which takes a toll on us physically and mentally. When you're too scared to miss a day because either you need the pay, you can't miss without being fired, or you can't miss without other consequences- retaliation with less hours/ being made to do the tasks/jobs you don't normally do/separating you from coworkers etc.

I feel like we should be discussing paid sick leave/days.

I'd love to hear feedback on this and see what others think about it as well.

NFC Tags

I bought a 30 pack of NFC tags and I have decided to put the website to the general strike and stick them all over my town. Do you think this will help spread awareness or will it be a pointless endeavor. Maybe others can get involved to spread the message. Just a thought.

Infrastructure?

How are the plans for infrastructure such as feeding participants and what unions are going to participate in order to make it a lawful strike.

Flyer suggestion

So I been listening to the Great Courses Plus' History of Russia: from Peter the Great to Gorbachev and the lesson covering the 1905 revolution had an element that struck me and helped a wide range of political polities join together.

That element was Respect, respect for every worker and that is an element we should be using as the tip of the spear to get our point across, we want and demand respect as people and that means a living wage and a personal life.

We should be demanding that respect as the critical reason for our actions and that all workers and people need to be respected.

Quick suggestion

12 weeks parental leave instead of just maternity leave, it’s a super easy adjustment and is much more inclusive to fathers and LGBT parents

Corporate tax rate

Genuine question: why are we only demanding 25% when biden is trying 28% and it was 35% before trump? shouldn’t we aim higher?

Help explaining increased minimum wage

I really need help explaining why we need to increase minimum wage because my friend has come at me with oh people with degrees don't make that much and my boyfriend works at a factory and he doesn't make that much. But I feel like everyone's wages should go up and I don't know how to explain that.

I suggest an added term: Take half the wealth of the Uber-Rich (the top 1%) and give it to the bottom 50%. We'll call it the "Trickle-Up Policy". Every person in the bottom 50% would get a check for $125,000.

According to "Why Nations Fail" by Acemoglu and Robinson, nations collapse when they have a certain level of wealth and income inequality.

The scientific measure for wealth and income inequality is called the "Gini Coefficient", and right now the US is at .49 on the Gini scale. At the current rate, we are headed for French Revolution levels (.69) within the next 7 years. The French Revolution was a bloody time, with mass executions and huge power vacuums filled by maniacal leaders (eg. Robespierre).

A possible solution to our current wealth inequality situation would be to redistribute wealth from the top 1% of wealthiest Americans, who OWN AS MUCH WEALTH AS THE BOTTOM 90% COMBINED.

#### If the top 1% gave half of their wealth to the bottom 50%, every person in the bottom 50% would receive $125,000.
